Fulbright Visiting Scholar program:
The U.S. Embassy in Nicosia has opened applications for the 2017 Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program. This program provides an opportunity for Cypriot doctoral or equivalent degree holders to lecture, conduct advanced research, or pursue a combined program of lecturing and research at U.S. universities or non-academic institutions. Cypriot scholars who receive these grants will spend the Fall 2017 academic semester in the U.S. working with their host in order to carry out their proposed project. The application deadline for this program is October 13, 2016.

Fulbright Schuman program:
The Fulbright-Schuman Program is administered by the Commission for Educational Exchange between the United States and Belgium, and is jointly financed by the U.S. State Department and the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission. The program funds graduate and post-graduate study, research, and lecture proposals in the field of US-EU relations, EU policy, or EU institutions for interested American and EU citizens.
The Fulbright Commission for Educational Exchange offers approximately 35 scholarships annually for study, teaching and research in the United States at the post-doctoral level. The awards vary from round-trip travel to grants covering all expenses for an academic year. Fulbright Schuman grants are open to citizens of all 28 EU Member States. The deadline for this program is December 1, 2016.
